1. Who We Are

PSUCheck (psucheck.com) is an independent website providing free PC power supply calculation tools, build cost estimators, and educational guides for PC builders. PSUCheck is not affiliated with any hardware manufacturer, retailer, or component brand.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you use the Contact form on this website, we collect the information you voluntarily submit: your name, email address, and message content. This information is transmitted to our form processing service (Formspree) and used solely to respond to your inquiry.

2.2 Calculator Usage (Not Stored)

All calculator computations (component selections, PSU analysis, cost estimates) run entirely client-side in your web browser. PSUCheck does not transmit or store your component selections or build configurations. When you share a build via URL, the build data is encoded in the URL itself — we do not store it server-side.

2.3 Analytics

PSUCheck uses Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g., which pages are most visited, which countries visitors come from). Plausible is GDPR-compliant and does not use cookies, does not collect personally identifiable information, and does not track visitors across websites. No personal data is collected for analytics purposes.

2.4 Advertising (Google AdSense)

PSUCheck displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to serve interest-based advertisements. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. 3. Affiliate Links

PSUCheck participates in affiliate programs including Amazon Associates and the Newegg Affiliate Program. When you click a product link on PSUCheck and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate participation does not influence our product recommendations — we recommend based on technical merit, not commission rates.

4. Cookies

PSUCheck itself sets one first-party cookie/localStorage item:

  • vf-theme (localStorage): stores your dark/light mode preference. Contains no personal data.

Third-party cookies may be set by Google AdSense. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or an ad opt-out tool.

5. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months after your inquiry is resolved, then permanently deleted. We do not retain any other personal data.
